Mr. G.J. Marsman establishes his own company in the Netherlands, producing foam rubber for the mattress and furniture industries.
1962
The company shifts its core business to compounds for the carpet industry, marking the birth of Eur-O-Compound. Gerard J. Marsman, the second generation, succeeds his father as company leader.
1974
Eur-O-Compound relocates to Oudenaarde, Belgium, and begins developing new products while exploring new applications for existing ones. With this diversification, the company expands globally.
1985
Opening of the first factory in the United Kingdom.
1994 - 1998
Rapid global expansion: within four years, new factories are established in Portugal, Thailand, Poland, Italy, India, and the Netherlands.
1995
Gerard R. Marsman, representing the third generation, joins the company.
1998
Eur-O-Compound is rebranded as EOC. All existing branches are unified under the EOC Group.
2007
Establishment of EOC Polymers in Shanghai, China.
2008
EOC Group headquarters moves to a new building in Oudenaarde, Belgium.
2011 - 2016
Further expansion with the opening of factories in Turkey, Spain, and a second facility in India.

Launch of a new business unit, Thermoplastic Elastomers, and the introduction of EXOLAST.
2020
Installation of the first wind turbine at EOC Evergem, Belgium, generating 10,600 MWh per year.

Publication of EOC’s 2030 ESG goals.

EOC celebrates its 75th anniversary.

Strengthening EOC’s commitment to innovation and sustainability with new initiatives. Publication of EOC’s 6th sustainability report, reinforcing our commitment to transparency and sustainable development.
2025
After serving as Finance Director since 2018, Youri Deblanc has been named CEO of the European entities. Gerard Marsman steps down as CEO to dedicate his efforts to long-term strategic priorities as Executive Chairman.
Over the years, EOC has expanded its portfolio, now including eight divisions: compounds, latices, adhesives, emulsions, surfactants, polyurethanes, barrier coatings, and thermoplastic elastomers. Today, EOC Group operates 13 production and distribution units worldwide, employing over 700 people.
